Love the flute solo. I also like the harmony between the synthesized french horn and the flute. There's a Hammond organ being turned off to get that sinking sound (thanks to Tony Banks of Genesis). -- JS
WHEN DREAMS ARE LOST
Time's against me.
yet each man finds
his own reward
in the moments of his life
Peace surrenders
salvation is a dying word
yet love is left alive
When dreams are lost
and hopes begin to fade
I see your face
with its wonder smiling inside
What is in the picture
that hangs on the wall?
It's telling me something
but the words never find me
and where are the reasons
that I'm feeling so small?
I wouldn't believe it
but they seem all around me
Turning away
you take my hands
Feeling you touch me
I don't have to understand
But I can't remember back
to when the days
were meant to last
and people smiled
as they went past
and there was laughter
Coldest winter has placed
its icy hands in mine
and leads me
through the days
Crying faces
are reaching out
to hearts of stone
Your love is all that saves
When dreams are lost
and hopes begin to fade
I see your face with it's wonder
smiling, inside
