- track name
Distant Shores
- album and band name
- about
- From the tri-tones at the beginning to the crashing waves at the end, I feel this is an important part of my musical legacy. I'd like to dedicate this to Flavio Varani, who was one of my piano teachers at Oakland University.
-- Jan Stepka
And shall all our sound and fury fade
Listen: for our voices have joined
the song of the wind and the waves,
bound for distant shores - Jan Stepka 2002
- lyrics
- DISTANT SHORES
Like the dreams
of darkest night
I take my leave
at dawn's first light
As the morning breaks
upon the distant shore
and the tides take the sea
without warning
When the waves
which melt away the sands
are reaching out
to take my hands
Then I wander
towards the distant shore
And I know that the waters
will flow forever more
